Imidazole is a five-membered heterocyclic compound composed of three carbon atoms and two nitrogen atoms, located in non-adjacent positions, with a molecular formula of C3H4N2. Imidazole was first prepared in 1858 and is an important fine chemical raw material, mainly used in the synthesis of medicines and pesticides and as an epoxy resin curing agent. It is used in imidazole antifungal drugs in medicine and is one of the main raw materials for drugs such as dichlorobenzamide, econazole, ketoconazole, and clotrimazole.
