Pyrimidine compounds

Pyrimidine, also known as meta-diazobenzene, refers to a six-membered heterocyclic compound containing two nitrogen atoms at the meta position. It exists in many drugs and naturally derived compounds, such as cytosine, thymine and uracil in nucleic acids; as well as sulfadiazine, sulfamethazine and sulfadimethoxine, which are drugs used to treat bacterial and viral diseases.
