Sulfonohydrazide

Sulfonylhydrazones, with the general formula R-SO2O-NH-N=CR', are a special type of sulfonated hydrazones that have recently been developed as new CH-functionalized C1 or C2 synthons to form metallocarbenes, thereby approaching acylmethylated or cyclized compounds. There are many outstanding reports on the synthesis of a variety of useful molecular frameworks through these versatile synthons.
