Base-protected Nucleosides

Base-protected nucleosides (also called base-protected nucleosides) refer to nucleosides that are usually protected in order to prevent the base from undergoing undesirable chemical reactions during the reaction or to protect its activity during the synthesis or chemical reaction of the nucleoside. Protecting groups are usually certain chemical groups that can be introduced during the synthesis process and removed when necessary, thereby protecting the base from the reaction environment.
