Description

Dde-Dap(Fmoc)-OH features a protected diaminopropionic acid residue with a Dde (1,2-dihydro-2,2-dimethyl-3H-inden-3-ylidene) group at the α-amino position and Fmoc (fluorenylmethoxycarbonyl) at the side chain. This orthogonal protection enables selective deprotection in peptide synthesis, facilitating efficient incorporation of Dap residues under mild conditions.

Application

Dde-Dap(Fmoc)-OH serves as a protected amino acid building block for solid-phase peptide synthesis, enabling site-specific incorporation of Dap (diaminopropionic acid) residues. The Dde (1,5-diazo-3,3-dioxo-1-pentyl) group provides orthogonal deprotection under mild hydrazinolysis, while the Fmoc (9-fluorenylmethoxycarbonyl) group allows standard base-labile removal.
