Fluoride Salts
Fluoride salts among metal salts are compounds containing fluoride ions and metal ions. They are characterized by high thermal stability, low volatility and the ability to form stable melts. Fluoride salts are used in various applications such as electrolytes in molten salt batteries, fluxes in welding and metalworking, and catalysts in chemical reactions. They are also used in the production of aluminum and other metals by electrolysis.
