Iodide Salts
Iodide salts among metal salts are compounds containing iodide ions and metal ions. Due to the unique properties of iodine, these salts are often used in photography and medical applications. Iodide salts are used as raw materials for the production of X-ray contrast media, preservatives, and thyroid hormones. They are also used in water and wastewater treatment, and in analytical chemistry for the determination of iodide ions.
