Pyridinium 1,4-zwitterionic thiolates compounds
Pyridinium sulfide compounds are a class of chemical substances consisting of a pyridine ring and a sulfur atom connected by a covalent bond. These compounds usually have specific characteristics, in which the sulfur atom is negatively charged and combined with metal ions (such as sodium, potassium, copper, aluminum, etc.) or organic groups to form salts. The general formula is generally expressed as [C₅H₅NH⁺][RS⁻], where C₅H₅NH⁺ is the pyridinium cation and RS⁻ is the sulfur sulfide anion. Due to its unique chemical structure and properties, it has become the focus of research and application, especially in some sulfur-containing chemistry and biological activities, especially in catalysis, metal coordination chemistry, drug development and materials science.
